Newell, Heather, Christopher's and Allison's Fund raising page
Newell, Allison, Christopher and I have been first-hand witnesses to the devastation of Alzheimers. Our father/in-law/grandfather died of Alzheimer's May 2022 (on his 86th birthday) sharing the fate of his mother who died of Alzheimers as well. Newell lost his grandmother and uncle to the disease. We all need hope and the type of research supported by the Marr fund at Brigham and Women's.
On October 2, the Marr Fund Team will participate in the 2022 Maine Marathon. Family and friends can run or walk in person or virtually to support the Josephine and John Marr Alzheimer’s Research Fund at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Newell, Christopher, and I are running as a team.
In eight years, the Marr Fund team has already made a great impact on furthering Alzheimer’s prevention research, most notably raising over $1.3 million through the Maine Marathon event itself and serving as a catalyst for a separate $25 million gift from visionary philanthropists Andrew and Kate Davis and the Shelby Cullom Davis Charitable Fund.
Thank you for joining us in this fight to prevent Alzheimer’s. Together we can make a difference—now and for future generations.
