Running for Traumatic Injury Rehabilitation & Recovery
Standing near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013, Gillian Reny’s life changed forever. A senseless act of violence from the Boston bombings left her with devastating injuries, but the extraordinary medical team at Brigham and Women’s Hospital saved her life and her legs from being amputated.
In gratitude, her family founded the Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where Gillian’s strength now fuels a mission to provide funding and resources for trauma victims.
Over 10% of trauma survivors face catastrophic health bills that they cannot afford. The Stepping Strong Trauma Survivor Fund helps bridge this gap, giving survivors in financial need the support they require to heal and rebuild their lives.
As a fully philanthropically funded center, Stepping Strong relies on generosity like yours to drive life-saving innovation forward.
