From Motherhood to Marathon
Running with the Stepping Stones Team in support of Brigham and Women’s Hospital
To me, the Boston Marathon is about tenacity, resilience, and compassion — showing up for others, even when it’s hard. It’s more than a race; it’s a commitment to community. That belief is what led me to join thousands of incredible people in running the 130th Boston Marathon, and for the Stepping Stones Team supporting Trauma Innovation at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
BWH has cared for the people I love most. In April of 2023, my father underwent unexpected bypass surgery and received exceptional, life-saving care. Most recently, my son Cole — born a month early in June of 2025 — spent a short time in the NICU. During one of the most challenging periods my husband Chris and I have ever experienced, the doctors, nurses, and staff provided not only expert medical care, but constant compassion and reassurance.
I have watched the Boston Marathon year after year with admiration for the runners, fundraisers, and organizations committed to serving others.
Running the Boston Marathon is allowing me to give back — honoring everything my body has carried me through as a postpartum mom, while paying tribute to the medical professionals, survivors, and families whose perseverance defines this work.My goal is to raise $10,000, and every training mile brings me closer. Every donation directly supports vital programs at BWH that help survivors and families heal and move forward.
Trauma shows up in a lot of different ways, and the Brigham is doing important work in researching and innovating for patients and families.
Thank you for supporting this cause, the medical community, and my marathon journey.
