My father serves as a profound source of inspiration for me to run in the 2026 Boston Marathon for the Stepping Strong Team. In September, he endured a traumatic event that resulted in a brain injury. Consequently, he now relies on a cane/ walker and experiences limited mobility on his left side. Throughout my life, my father has consistently been my unwavering supporter and enthusiastic cheerleader. He was present at every track meet I participated in during my high school years, passionately encouraging me from the sidelines. Witnessing his journey through this challenging period and observing his relentless efforts to regain strength and progress toward his former capabilities has profoundly motivated me to undertake this endeavor in his honor. My father embodies the epitome of selflessness and remarkable resilience. Each day, he makes significant strides forward, and I am compelled to join this team that provides assistance to individuals akin to my father. Recognizing the profound impact this experience has had on him and our lives, I aspire to contribute to the well-being of those facing similar circumstances, transforming adversity into hope. I’m so excited for this and to be able to run for the stepping strong team!
