Jack Runs Boston!
I always hated running. I once told my family, “You couldn’t pay me $100,000 to run a marathon.” And yet, here we are. My brother Kirk and I ran our first marathon together in October 2025, and now we’re taking on the 130th Boston Marathon in April 2026 in memory of our mom, Lisa, who passed away from cancer in 2024.
Mom was always our biggest fan on the field, on the court, and in life. She cheered loud, loved hard, and supported us in everything we did. Running Boston for her feels like the most fitting tribute we could make.
Brigham and Women’s Hospital holds a special place in our family’s story. It’s where Mom received care, where my nephew and niece, Callan and Clara, were born, and where Callan spent six weeks in the NICU. Through both the hardest moments and the happiest ones, the Brigham has been there for us.
We’re proud to run on behalf of the Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation, a center funded entirely through philanthropy. When you support the Stepping Strong Boston Marathon Team, you help transform tragedy into hope for civilian and military heroes recovering from devastating traumatic injuries. Your generosity fuels groundbreaking research, innovative care, and programs that save and rebuild lives.
Thank you for supporting our run, honoring Mom’s memory, and helping carry forward the Boston Strong spirit that still defines the city. We’re deeply grateful for your generosity.
