Katie & Megan's Marathon Fundraising Page!
We’re sisters, best friends, and teammates once again, reunited to run the 2026 Boston Marathon side by side for The Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
From high school track where Megan passed the baton to Katie in relay races, to collegiate track at different colleges, running has always been a part of who we are. After many years, we’re finally back on the same team - chasing the same finish line once again.
This race is about more than miles. It’s about perseverance and the power of coming together—for every survivor, every family, and every person whose story shows what strength looks like in the face of trauma. The Stepping Strong Center catalyzes trauma innovation, from prevention to recovery, to help injured civilians and military heroes rebuild and reclaim their lives. That mission, and the people behind it, are who we run for.
Megan returns for her second Boston Marathon still fueled by the roar of the crowd in 2024 and her time volunteering in the finish line medical tents. As a sports medicine physician assistant at Brigham and Women's, Megan also has the pleasure of being one of the medical providers for the Stepping Strong team; helping keep the runners healthy and getting them across the finish line. Katie takes on her first Boston, seeking redemption after the canceled 2020 race, and running one year postpartum. After her son's premature birth, Katie is filled with deep and renewed gratitude for world-class healthcare that helps so many heal visible and invisible wounds.
This year, we’re running side by side. We’re running for every trauma survivor who refuses to give up. And we’re running together to show that no one has to go through hard things alone.
Please consider supporting our run and donating to this amazing cause!!
They say, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” This year, we’re going far (26.2 miles to be exact!) with Stepping Strong!!
