Hi everyone! I’m Lexie, and I’m so excited to be running the 2026 Boston Marathon for Stepping Strong, an amazing organization dedicated to transforming trauma care and helping survivors heal and rebuild their lives.
Stepping Strong was founded after the 2013 Boston Marathon tragedy, when Gillian Reny was severely injured near the finish line. A senseless act of violence left her with traumatic injuries, but thanks to the incredible team at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, her life, and her legs, were saved. In gratitude, her family created the Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation, where today, Gillian's strength drives a relentless pursuit to transform how we prevent, treat, and recover from traumatic injury.
Growing up in Newton, the Boston Marathon has always been really special to me. Every year I’m in awe of the runners, the sense of community, and the incredible energy that fills the city. Getting to be part of it this time, and to do it for such an inspiring cause that represents resilience, healing, and hope means the world.
I’m so excited to be running for such an amazing cause and would be so grateful for your support. Every bit helps and goes directly toward making a real impact for trauma survivors. Thank you so much for being a part of this journey with me!!
