My Fundraising Page
Growing up in Newton, the Boston Marathon has always been a part of my life. Year after year, I stood along the course cheering with awe as runners pushed themselves with strength, resilience, and unwavering determination. I always knew that one day I wanted to be part of this special event.
The Stepping Strong Foundation was born from the tragedy of the 2013 bombings, after Gillian Reny’s life was saved by a multidisciplinary Brigham team following traumatic injuries near the marathon finish line. In gratitude, her family established a center dedicated to transforming how we prevent, treat, and recover from traumatic injury—the leading cause of death for Americans ages 44 and younger. Today, Stepping Strong fuels cutting-edge research, reimagines trauma care, advances education, and inspires advocacy to rebuild lives and strengthen communities.
Working at the Brigham, I see firsthand the impact of expert trauma care, innovative treatments, and compassionate teamwork. Witnessing that impact every day is exactly what inspired me to run in support of Stepping Strong.
I am truly honored to run with the Stepping Strong Boston Marathon Team. Thank you so much for supporting our mission—your generosity means the world to me and to the countless patients and families whose lives are changed by this work. See you in April!
