Taylor McCormack 2025 Boston Marathon!!!!
Taylors first Marathon...
I have always dreamed of participating in the Boston Marathon and am so excited to fulfill this life goal in April 2025. Growing up, I remember cheering on my family members, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends — as they tackled the grueling course. Such determination and passion has always inspired me deeply.
I’m running the Boston Marathon to fulfill my personal challenge of completing 26 miles at 26 years old, to honor the passion for running instilled in me by my family and friends, contribute to the incredible community spirit that makes this race so unique, and support the amazing cause of The Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation.
I know that with the support of you, my family, friends, colleagues, and community, I’ll be able to reach my fundraising goals as well as my physical training milestones. Such encouragement and inspiration will be my fuel as I take on this journey.
Crossing that finish line will be an unforgettable moment—joining the ranks of those who have inspired me throughout my life, all while supporting the mission of The Stepping Strong 2025 Marathon Team.
More about Stepping Strong Center for Trauma...
- Trauma is the number one cause of death for people 44 or younger, ahead of cancer and heart disease.
- Traumatic injuries comprise 40% of visits to emergency departments.
- More than $2 trillion per year is spent on decreased productivity, work loss, and medical costs due to traumatic injuries.
- Despite the significant burden of trauma, less than 2% of federal funding is allocated toward trauma research, inhibiting our ability to understand how to prevent, treat, and improve recovery from traumatic injury.
Brigham and Women's Hospital is a proud partner of the Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program.
