Why I'm Running
After going to college in Boston and attending many Boston Marathons I had always thought about what it would be like to experience it as a runner. I've decided to make that happen this year and am excited to be running the 129th Boston Marathon with the Stepping Strong team. I chose to run with Stepping Strong as a result of my own personal connection to Brigham & Women's Hospital.
As some may know, in 2020 my daughter Reagan was born premature. She ultimately spent ~2 weeks at BWH in the NICU where she received the care she needed to get her on track to be the active, healthy 4-year old she is today.
I am proud to be running for BWH and the Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Fund which serves the critically important and underserved area of trauma research.
Thank you in advance for your support! Please feel free to make a donation in any amount or consider "Sponsoring" a mile as detailed below!
Sponsor A Mile
Sponsor a mile (or miles) with your donation! If you sponsor a mile you can choose one song for me to put on my running playlist to play during that mile (approximately!). You can note which mile you would like to sponsor when you donate

Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation
- Trauma is the number one cause of death for people 44 or younger, ahead of cancer and heart disease.
- Traumatic injuries comprise 40% of visits to emergency departments.
- More than $2 trillion per year is spent on decreased productivity, work loss, and medical costs due to traumatic injuries.
- Despite the significant burden of trauma, less than 2% of federal funding is allocated toward trauma research, inhibiting our ability to understand how to prevent, treat, and improve recovery from traumatic injury.
Brigham and Women's Hospital is a proud partner of the Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program.
