To honor Ben’s memory, I established the Benjamin W. Knight Glioblastoma Research Fund at Brigham and Women’s Hospital to support Ben’s neurosurgeon, Dr. Omar Arnaout.  Dr. Arnaout specializes in treating patients with brain tumors, and his research is focused on applying artificial intelligence to neurosurgical treatments to help identify tumor type and grade and to maximize patient survival time and quality of life.  Currently, Dr. Arnaout is working to develop a virtual biopsy to guide glioblastoma treatment so neurosurgeons will be better equipped to weigh the risks and benefits of treatment to determine the best path forward for every patient.
