I am now running, cycling, swimming in a Virtual 700 mile race. As of 2/18/22, I'm at 163.3 miles with a ways to go. 

Why do this?

Our daughter Kate was a competitive Team USA swimmer and several years ago, a patient in the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital CardioVascular Intensive Care Unit. Kate is now an RN at a Portland Oregon hospital. I am very committed to supporting and fundraising for Dr. MacRae, a cardiologist and geneticist (and simply a very very nice person) whose clinical interests include how research findings can be systematically implemented into clinical care. Dr. MacRae works on understanding the mechanisms of heart and vascular disease-especially cardiomyopathies.
