Nico's First Birthday: Supporting NICU Families
Our sweet Nico is turning ONE! This past year has been filled with joy, growth, and immense gratitude. As we celebrate this milestone, we can’t help but reflect on the journey that brought him into our arms.
Nico spent the first days of his life in the NICU at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where a team of incredible doctors, nurses, and staff cared for him around the clock. They provided the specialized care he needed to grow strong and supported us as we navigated those first uncertain days.
Our time at Brigham started even before Nico’s birth. For 53 days, the hospital became our home away from home. We spent 43 of those on the antepartum floor and the final 10 in the NICU. Through it all, the compassion and expertise of the entire Brigham team made all the difference, and we are forever grateful.
Now, as we celebrate Nico’s first birthday, we want to give back to the place that gave us so much. This year, we’re asking for donations to support NICU families throughout the year. Your generosity will help provide small but meaningful comforts, like coffee and refreshments in the family lounge, meals that give parents a moment to recharge, and special occasion celebrations that bring moments of joy during difficult times. These gestures may seem simple, but for families facing long days and nights in the NICU, they make all the difference.
With your help, we can give back to the NICU community and show our gratitude for the care and kindness we received. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward providing these essential resources to families who are experiencing what we did.
Thank you for being part of Nico’s celebration and for helping us make a difference.
