Hi! I need your help.
I am honored to be running the Maine Marathon in October to raise money for The Alzheimer Center at Brigham and Women's Hospital, an organization that is near and dear to our heart.
In 2015, my wife and I moved our family to Maine soon after finding out that my father-in-law, Joe Groff, had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. We have been by his side for this very hard "long goodbye." Our five children were blessed with many hugs, stories, laughs, and ball games with their PopPop creating memories we will cherish forever.
Joe unfortunately passed away in January, but his fight is not over. Supporting Alzheimer's research was exceptionally important to Joe. He bravely participated in three drug trials following his diagnosis. In his final act of generosity, he donated his brain to Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard neurology centers to further Alzheimer’s research—a testament to his enduring spirit and desire to help others.
I am running this race in his memory—for Joe, for our family, and for everyone battling Alzheimer’s.
Please join me in the fight and help me reach my fundraising goal. Every contribution brings us closer to a world without this devastating disease.
Thank you for your support!
