Long Strides for Longer Lives

We appreciate you taking the time to learn about our participation in the B.A.A. 10K alongside Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH)!

Approximately 22,000 women in the U.S. are diagnosed with ovarian cancer every year. While it is the eleventh most common cancer, ovarian cancer is the fifth most common cause of cancer deaths, responsible for over 14,000 deaths each year. While other cancer diagnoses have witnessed major progress with the emergence of immunotherapy and other novel treatments, ovarian cancer patients are still waiting to see the same advances.

This cause is particularly significant to us as one of our team member's mother, Sarah, bravely battled ovarian cancer for two and a half years before passing away in late 2022. She was not only treated at BWH for cancer but also dedicated over a decade of her life working for BWH serving as the head of the Center for Cost-Effective Care.

Your support is crucial in advancing this research and improving prevention strategies. In essence, your contribution, no matter the amount, has the potential to save countless lives! We sincerely hope you'll consider supporting our cause, as it can truly make a world of difference.
