Don't call it a comeback...
Andrea and I like to joke that we aren’t runners but we’ve been running races together for nearly ten years. This one is by far the most meaningful because it means she kicked cancer’s ass! This time last year was full of uncertainty. We had already committed to the BAA 10K but day of, the run itself wasn’t in the cards. When your friend is diagnosed with breast cancer during a routine mammogram at forty, you have no choice but to watch as she gracefully navigates being a cancer patient with a two year old son. Not only did she persevere, but she never complained. She became a spokesperson for early detection and broke fundraising records for the Brigham & Women’s running team, so much so, they named the team after her… again. We back baby, let’s do this 6.2! Support us, cheer us on and get your damn mammogram!
Thank you in advance!
