Hello! I'm Kevin and I am very new to this. This is my first official race and my first time fundraising. I started running a few months ago with the goal of running a half marathon in October. This race will be a benchmark run for me in my training. For this race, I'm raising funds for the Josephine and John Marr Alzheimer's Research Fund. Alzheimer's disease has devastated an insurmountable number of individuals and families. In my family, my aunt Deedee was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's in 2016 when she was only 57 years old. Deedee was the most kind, gentle, funny and adventurous aunt anyone could ask for. As the youngest of all the cousins I had a different and special relationship with my aunt. While my older siblings and cousins were off doing their own thing, I was busy being an adventurous little kid with my aunt. Whether we were floating around in Lake Champlain or exploring Mt. Philo State Park, we were always having fun, and we were always outside. Aunt Deedee loved nature. This one's for her. Thank you everyone for your donations towards research into this devastating disease.
