Welcome to Andrea Baxter's Personal Page
I’m baaaaccccckkkk! And what a difference a year makes!
Last year at this time, I was newly embarking down a road I never planned to take, and with a new title - a cancer patient. Surgery, chemo and radiation are a thing of the past, and I’m ready to run!
Many of you know my story already. As scary and undesirable as it was, there were a lot of wins, and I choose to focus on those. Of course nobody wants anything abnormal to show up on their mammogram, but I’m one of the lucky ones that when it showed up, it was in an early stage. 2023 helped open my eyes to what is really important in life. Perspective is everything. Without having to face a life altering diagnosis, I don’t know if I would have had the ability to shift my outlook and how I view life.
Each year, you will see my posts around this time, as I support this incredibly important cause. So ladies!! I’m here to tell you…get your mammograms! Make time for yourself, and please don’t skip this annual appointment. It just might save your life. You don’t need to have a family history, or even feel a lump to have a problem. Take it from me. Get the imaging.
The Brigham holds a special place in my heart. They saved my dad’s life, brought my JJ safely into this world, and have now saved my life. I am once again running for the Breast Care Center as they were the first stop on my unplanned journey. They were the ones that carefully, and thoroughly took the images, reviewed them, scanned again, and weren't willing to take any chances on what they saw.
