Celebrating the Life of Amy Spindler
Amy left an indelible mark on those lucky enough to have known her. She lived life with purpose and energy, maximized her opportunities and brought joy to the lives of her friends and family along the way.
She packed adventures typical of a longer life in to a condensed time frame and gave us all a blue print on how to squeeze every drop out of life. Her hobbies and interests were many but chief among them was spending time with her family and friends. She leaves behind a huge number of people who love her, from her loving family, to members of her Ashland community, and of course her countless friends, teachers, and therapists from the Massachusetts Hospital School.
Always one to give back Amy was passionate about fundraising for the medical professionals that provided her with care throughout her life. That materialized in running numerous road races throughout the years with many running companions and fundraising for Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Her running career reached its peak in 2024 when she realized her dream of finishing the Boston Marathon with her partner and close family friend Claudia McCoy.
Join us in celebrating the life of this incredible woman by supporting a cause Amy believed in wholeheartedly with a donation to Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Gone but never forgotten. In our hearts forever. Thank you for the lifetime of memories.
